What to expect
Check-up
The vet examines your pet and decides what they need. We can only prescribe for pets under our care, so we need to have seen your pet.
Your medicine
We supply the number of tablets prescribed and explain how to give them.
Repeats
For long-term medicines, call or WhatsApp us before you run out. Your pet will need regular check-ups so we can keep prescribing safely.

Questions
How much is a prescription?
A written prescription is £15. You can use it to buy the medicine from another supplier, including online.
Why do you price medicines per tablet?
So you only pay for the tablets your pet needs. For example, prednisolone is 25p a tablet and Apoquel is £1.50.
How do I order a repeat?
Call or WhatsApp us before you run out. If your pet hasn’t had a check-up for a while, we may need to see them first.
Can I give my pet human painkillers?
No. Ibuprofen can be dangerous for dogs, and paracetamol can kill cats. Call us instead and we’ll advise.
What can help my dog’s itchy skin?
We stock Apoquel tablets at £1.50 each and Cytopoint injections from £55, depending on your dog’s weight. The vet will check your dog first to find the cause of the itch.
What can help my older dog’s stiff joints?
Pain relief such as Loxicom or Librela injections can help. Librela starts at £55. The vet will examine your dog to decide what suits them.
